A SUGGESTED ITINERARY FOR 15 DAYS BIRDING WATCHING – COASTAL &  UP RIVER.

Coast Itinerary

Day 1. Arrive and pick-up from the airport to Paradise Inn Lodge.
Relax at accommodation and in the evening discuss the trip plan with bird guide. Overnight at
Paradise Inn Lodge.

Day 2. Morning Excursion to Tujerren Wood. Drive back to Paradise Inn Lodge for lunch.
Afternoon Excursion to
Tanji Beach and Reserve. Overnight at Paradise Inn Lodge.
Day 3. Morning Excursion to Abuko Nature Reserve. Lunch at Lamin Lodge. Birding around Lamin Rice Fields.
Overnight at
Paradise Inn Lodge.
Day 4. Full day Birding around Marakisa/Dasilami area. Lunch at Marakisa River Camp.
Overnight  at
Paradise Inn Lodge
Day 5. Morning Excursion to Farasutu Forest. Lunch at Paradise Inn Lodge.
Afternoon Excursion to Burfut Wood. Overnight at
Paradise Inn Lodge.

Day 6.Morning visit to mud flats of Camalou Corner, Cape Point Creek and Bund Road. 
Lunch at
Bachus Beach (Banjul).  Afternoon Excusion to Kotu Creek and Kotu Ponds. Overnight at Paradise Inn Lodge.

Day 7. Full day Birding to Madina-Ba, Pirang Shrimp Farm and Faraba-Bantang Bust Track.
Packed lunch at Faraba-Bantang Bush Track . Overnight at
Paradise Inn Lodge.

Gambia River Trip
Day 8. Leave Paradise Inn Lodge after breakfast and full day Birding to Tendaba Camp.
On the way packed lunch from Paradise Inn Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Tendaba Camp.
Day 9. Morning Creek Tour from Tendaba to Kissi and Tnku Bolong. Lunch at Tendaba Camp.
Afternoon Excursion to Tendaba Airfield and later to Batelling Bush Track for NightJars and Owls.
Overnight at Tendaba Camp.

Day 10. Leave Tendaba Camp on the South Bank Road for Baobolong Camp (McCarthy Island)
Stop on the way for packed lunch from Tendaba Camp. Overnight at Baobolong Camp (
McCarthy Island).
Day 11. Morning Excursion to Bansang Quary and Kunkeling Forest. Lunch at Baobolong Camp.
Afternoon birding around Baobolong Camp. Overnight at Baobolong Camp.

Day 12. Boat trip to  Kahia Iland for to see Hippos and more Bird Watching. Lunch at Baobolong Camp.
Afternoon birding watching. Overnight at Baobolong Camp.

Day 13. Leave Baobolong Camp after breakfast to the North Bank Road. 

Stop at Panchang Swamp, Kaur Wetland and Via Faraffeni Farry. Packed lunch from Baobolong Camp.

Dinner and overnight at Tendaba Camp.

Day 14.Leave Tendaba for Paradise Inn Lodge via Batellig Bush Track and Wuday-Ba Wood. 
Packed Lunch on the way from Tendaba. Overnight at
Paradise Inn Lodge.
Day 15. Morning Excursion around Paradise Inn Lodge. Early lunch at Paradise Inn Lodge. Depart for airport.

THE EXAMPLE COST FOR THIS INCLUSIVE 15 DAY ITINERARY, WITH FULL BOARD, WOULD BE ONE THOUSAND &
AND ONE HUNDRED POUNDS PER PERSON (£1100).

A SUGGESTED ITINERARY FOR 8 DAYS BIRDING WATCHING – THE GAMBIA & SENEGAL

Day 1.
Arrive and pick-up from the Airport. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Inn.

Day 2. Morning Boat trip to Bijoli Island from Tanji. Lunch at Paradise Inn. Evening birding on
Tanji Beach.
Dinner and over night at Paradise Inn.

Day 3.Morning excursion to Tujerreh, Sanyang Beach and Gunjur Beach and may be Katong Beach if time allows.

Day 4. Leave Paradise Inn and cross River Gambia by Banjul/ Bara ferry. Packed lunch from Paradise Inn. Proceed to Sine
Saloum Delta. Afternoon birding at
Kerr Saloum Bridge. Dinner and overnight at Kerr Saloum.

Day 5. Morning and Afternoon Boat trip to Missira, a special place for Osprey. Lunch and overnight at Kerr Saloum

Day 6. Full day birding toward Kawolack with packed lunch, Dinner and overnight at Kerr Saloum

Day 7. Leave Kerr Saloum after breakfast. Packed lunch on the way from Kerr Saloum, Dinner and overnight at Paradise Inn.

Day 8. Quick look at Tanji beach before departure to airport.

Day 1

Day 2.Morning Excursion to Tujeren Wood, Katong sand mining area. Lunch at Katong and afternoon boat trip on Alihine River. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Inn.

Day 3. Morning Excursion to Abuko Nature reserve. Lunch at Lamin Lodge. Afternoon birding at Kotu Creek, Cycle Track and Kotu Ponds. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Inn.

Day 4. Full day trip towards Tendaba Camp via Piram Shrimp Farm. There will be several birding stops on the way. Packed lunch. Dinner and overnight at Tendaba Bush Camp.

Day 5. Morning boat trip to Baobolong Wetland Reserve. Lunch at Tendaba and afternoon birding at Tendaba Airfield. Dinner and overnight at Tendaba camp.

Day 6. Drive back to the coast via  Batelling and Wurokan Bush Track. Packed lunch. There will be a few birding stops on the way if necessary. Afternoon birding at Faraba Bantang Bush Track. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Inn.

Day 7. Full day birding to Marakissa and Dasilameh area. Lunch at Marakissa River Camp. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Inn.

Day 8. Morning birding to Burufut Woods. Lunch at Paradise Inn. Transfer to Airport for flight back to UK.
