About Us

Bird Tours of The Gambia can arrange your ultimate bird watching experience in The Gambia and Senegal tailored exactly to your requirements. Our over-riding desire is to ensure that you have the best possible bird watching experience with us. As with all wildlife though they are not always there to order! Our guides are the most experienced in The Gambia and have a thorough knowledge of the areas and habits of the birds and so give you the best chance of seeing as many as possible. There are over 550 different birds in The Gambia, an absolutely bird watchers paradise. On Gambia river trips there are also very good chances of seeing dolphins and hippos. With our inclusive land trips starting from just £550 we offer absolute stunning value for money! We use accomodation that is popular with bird watchers from all over the world.

The tours can be organised to suit your birding interests - for instance Ospreys winter over in West Africa and our guides know the best possible places to see these magnificant birds in the Gambia and Senegal. There could be opportunities to see Egyptian Plovers and Red-throated Bee-eaters or a rare Tiger Heron to name but three out of the hundreds of birds you will see. We will organise your tour for you as you want it, whether for an individual, a couple or a group. Nothing will be too much trouble for our guides to make your experience one to remember.

If you are not sure of the type of itinerary you would like there are some examples on the site to whet your appetite. Whatever your proposed plan drop us an email and we will get back with obligation free advice and prices.

There is a seperate link above for more information about our bird guide, JJ. He is one of the most experienced and popular bird guides in The Gambia, apart from being a typical happy smiling Gambian.
